Recommend a quirky teen romance novel?

Question: Recommend a quirky teen romance novel?
I loved the movie “Amelie” and the novel “Boy Meets Boy” for their quasi-magical aesthetic and overall quirky cuteness. I’d like to read some young adult/teen lit novels with that same feel, but I’m having trouble finding any. When I try to find books similar to “Boy Meets Boy,” I just keep getting recommendations for other books about gay teens – most of which aren’t nearly as well-written and don’t have the tone I’m looking for at all. And I’ve already read everything else by David Levithan. Can somebody recommend me some more YA books?

If it helps, some other movies I like that fall into this category are “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” “Big Fish,” and “Garden State.” I really wish I had more books to list as examples! (That’s where you come in… hopefully.)

Does any one know the author of the novel “The Girl Next Door”?

Question: Does any one know the author of the novel “The Girl Next Door”?
It’s not the one by Jack Ketcham, Trisha Alexander, Kay Welsh, Roberta Gayle, Peggy Gaddis, or Mindy Kaplan. It’s the coming of age story of a boy and girl and I believe it takes place in London, England. It is a romance novel and the book I read had a white background with a house on it and blue title lettering. Toward the end of the story I remember the main girl owned or worked in a flower shop. The boy and girl begin the story as adults with their own lives and relationships. I believe the story begins with the main male and his girlfriend engaged in an intimate act or towards the beginning. I think the guy works for a newspaper or magazine or something like that. Some time or another the main characters when they were teenagers had to separate and the guy got sent off to a boarding school. I read this book quickly about 3 years ago and I liked it but I had it for a limited time and now I want to get it again for myself but I can’t find it. Please help me out. Include the title, author, and a quick synopsis or summary of the book so we can be clear that we’re on the same page. Thanks

Does the novel “A drifter’s love” relate to today’s time with the recession we’re having?

Question: Does the novel “A drifter’s love” relate to today’s time with the recession we’re having?
Hi,

I recently published my first romance novel “A drifter’s love” and I‘m looking for some helpful feedback before the final draft goes into print. It’s a historical romance, with a classical theme. Taking place during the great depression, it’s a love story about a drifting veteran, and a struggling widow who helps him make a mends with his past. A journey that takes him halfway across the country and back, just in time to rescue her.

I’ve posted about ten chapters online to be reviewed. So if you have a bit of time, can you read a few chapters and leave some feedback?

Relate = Make a logical or causal connection
Causal if not logical –
I am a developmental/research/line editor—-

The recession of today has not reached the severe levels equal to the Great Depression, the time line today is not yet as long as before. After WWI the recession was begun and with the returning veterans intensified rapidly. People of that time had so few resources of any nature, the depression ripened and rotted quickly.

Your book will stand on your depiction with words you provide. Good luck with the book.
