It’s hard to say. I think that she seems like she’s doing it for the money, but to begin with she would have had no idea how big it was going to be and I think she started out writing it for the sake of the literature.

What do you think of the werewolf novel “Shiver” by Maggie Steifveter (not sure if I spelled that right).
I personally think that it is very good so far (I am at the part where Grace and Shelby confront Sam about being a wolf), but ALOT of the novel sounds very similar to the Twilight Saga, which is a decent book series but I am not particularly obbsessed with it or anything like that.
Ex.
Werewolf Names: Sam and Paul
Themes of Lead Males: Golden/Yellow Eyes
Plot Points: Recent wolf attacks that help Grace figure it out
Romance: Between Sam (werewolf) and Grace (human)
Cold-hearted female that doesn’t want them together specifically (white female in Sam’s pack)
Ages: 17
But other than that I think that it is very well written and I am thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Just finished it the other night, and thought it was AMAZING. I didn’t think is was ANYTHING like Twilight at all. I see what you’re saying, but I think Shiver was 100 times better.
Yeah, yeah, the names. That’s going to happen… and Paul’s barely in it, and what other name would work for Sam?!?! The eyes… I don’t automatically think of Twilight… The wolf attacks are completely different… and in Twilight, the wolves didn’t attack. They attacked the vampires who were attacking the humans. Sam and Grace…. uh they’re awesome together. Who care’s about the Shelby thing. And Sam is actually 18. hahhah
But yeah, i see what your saying but i think they were completely different. And Shiver was much better, in my opinion… lol
